Biomagnification Case Study

In the case study I found on Bioaccumulation of Mercury it actually involved humans. Doctors say you aren't supposed to eat certain fish while pregnant due to the concern that the fetus could be contaminated with Mercury because some freshwater fish swim in lakes and rivers with high amounts of Mercury. A perfect example of a lake with Mercury problems in here in our hometown. Onondaga Lake was one of the most polluted lakes in the United States with massive amounts of Mercury. You were obviously not allowed to eat those fish. But that's a good example of Biomagnification. Biomagnification is an increase in concentration of a pollutant from one link in a food chain to another. So if we all start eating fish from Onondaga Lake a couple years ago, we would have increased Mercury levels in our body from that. One way we can fix that is by decreasing the amount of Mercury in our water. The way you do that is by dredging water. Dredging is the removeval of sediments and debris from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors and other water bodies.

    1. Complete: had explained to the toxin came into the environment. In addition talked how the toxic moved in the ecosystem.finally had explain the clean up effort to take the toxin out of the ecosystem.
Question:can you have more facts/details to help explain your idea in the future?
